Parakitri Tahi Simbolon (December 28, 1947 – March 24, 2024) was an Indonesian essayist, sociologist, short story writer, novelist, and journalist. He served as a senior editor at Harian Kompas and managed the Kompas Information and Research Center. He was also the founder of the publishing house Kepustakaan Populer Gramedia (KPG). Parakitri passed away at the age of 76 on Sunday, March 24, 2024.
