Parandzem Saroukhanyan was an Armenian microbiologist born on January 17, 1906, in Nor Bayazet, Caucasus, Russia. She earned her Doctorate in Biological Sciences in 1961 and was recognized as a Distinguished Figure of Science in the Armenian SSR in 1967. She was married to fellow microbiologist Levon Yerzinkyan. Saroukhanyan made significant contributions to the field of microbiology until her passing on December 2, 1988, in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, USSR.
