Parirokh Dadsetan (born April 1, 1933 – died November 13, 2010) was a professor of psychology at the University of Tehran, Azad University, and Shahid Beheshti University. She was one of the founders of modern psychology in Iran and is referred to as the mother of psychology in the country. Dadsetan authored unique works in developmental and clinical psychology, significantly influencing the field of contemporary psychology in Iran and was among the first international authors to explain pathology from a developmental perspective.
