Air Chief Marshal Parvaiz Mehdi Qureshi, born on October 1, 1943, is a retired four-star officer of the Pakistan Air Force known for serving as the 8th Chief of Air Staff from 1997 until his retirement in 2000. He is often referred to as P.Q. Mehdi and has received several honors, including the Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara-e-Basalat. He was also a friend of former Pakistani President and military ruler General Pervez Musharraf.
