He began his career in radio in 1977 under the guidance of Amir Hossein Ebtehaj. After the fall of the monarchy in 1979, he left radio to help establish a cultural foundation named Aref and Sheida with fellow artists. He collaborated with many Iranian singers, most notably Shahram Nazeri, and released several albums, becoming well-known for his performances and compositions.
