Pat McAuley was a Northern Irish rock musician born on March 17, 1944, in Coleraine. He grew up in a musical family, heavily influenced by Irish folk music. In the early 1960s, he moved to London with his brother Jackie, where they joined the band Them. Initially an organist, McAuley transitioned to drumming for Them after the original drummer left. He later formed a band called Belfast Gypsies. McAuley left the music scene and passed away in Donegal on August 11, 1984.
