Patricia Fara (born 1948) is a British historian of science, specializing in the history of physics. She studied physics at the University of Oxford and earned her PhD at Imperial College London. Fara has held research positions at the University of Cambridge and the Max Planck Institute. Her significant works include studies on Isaac Newton, women in science, and the history of electricity and magnetism. Notably, her book 'Science: A Four Thousand Year History' won the Dingle Prize and has been translated into nine languages. Fara has also served as president of the British Society for the History of Science.
