Patricio Peñalver Martínez (April 7, 1944 - March 27, 1998) was a tailor and neighborhood activist deeply committed to the LGBTI liberation movement. He moved from Murcia to Sabadell in 1952 and later became the president of the Ca n'Oriac Neighborhood Association during the 1980s, organizing community events and cultural programs. A prominent advocate for gay rights, he was recognized as the first openly declared homosexual in Sabadell and actively worked for the recognition of rights for gays and lesbians. He was also a clandestine member of the PSUC.
