Patrick Ford (born Patrick Forde) was a notable Guyanese and British Commonwealth Featherweight champion boxer. Born on December 17, 1955, he fought for the world featherweight title twice and is recognized for being a pioneer for future Guyanese boxers. His career began with an impressive streak of sixteen consecutive wins from 1978 to 1980 in various countries including Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, and Nigeria. A tragic incident in 1979 involved him knocking out unbeaten opponent Cecil Ferandez, who later died following the bout.
