At 17, he moved to Paris for vocal training and became a member of the touring Zouk band Kassav' for 20 years starting in 1982. He released his solo album 'Mizik Sé Lanmou' in 1985 and became a leading figure in Zouk Love music. In 2002, he focused on his solo career in Guadeloupe, singing only in Creole. He passed away on September 18, 2010, from cancer.
