Pau Aran Gimeno is a Catalan contemporary dancer and choreographer born in Barcelona in 1981. He began his career studying ballroom dancing and modern jazz in Cerdanyola del Vallès. Later, he studied at the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma in Madrid and completed his education at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Germany, under the mentorship of Pina Bausch. He was part of the prestigious Tanztheater Wuppertal and became an independent artist in 2013, exploring body language and collaborating with artists globally. In 2020, he formed his own company.
