Paul A. Racey is a retired biologist and professor known for his contributions to bat conservation. He served as the Regius Professor of Natural History at the University of Aberdeen from 1993 to 2009. Racey, nicknamed 'Batman', led the Bat Conservation Trust from 1992 to 1996. He is recognized for his work on bat protection and has a species named after him, the Racey’s dwarf bat, found in Madagascar. His research and advocacy have significantly contributed to bat conservation efforts in the UK.
