Paul E. Rink was an American judge and politician born on December 12, 1916, in Prophetstown, Illinois. He graduated from St. Ambrose University in 1938 and obtained his law degree from DePaul University in 1941. Rink served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1957 to 1969 and then was an Illinois Circuit Court Judge from 1969 to 1981. A member of the Democratic Party, he passed away on June 15, 2000, at his home in Rock Island, Illinois, and was the father-in-law of Illinois Supreme Court Justice Robert L. Carter.
