Paul Emanuel Müller-Hess (1927-2018) was a Swiss philologist, writer, and editor known for his contributions to literature and education. He studied literature, history, and pedagogy at several universities in Switzerland and obtained his doctorate in 1953. Müller served as the editor of the Swiss Teachers' Newspaper from 1964 to 1972 and worked as a teacher until 1992. He was married to the writer Katharina Hess, with whom he co-authored a series of hiking guides.
