Robert Paul English (1932-2020) was an influential American musician known for being Willie Nelson's drummer. He began performing with Nelson in 1955 and became his regular drummer in 1966. Besides drumming, he was a strong arm collection agent for band payments early in his career. English was featured in the Willie Nelson album 'Me and Paul' and appeared in the film 'Red Headed Stranger' (1986). He was also a founding member of Farm Aid and served as its treasurer. English passed away from pneumonia at the age of 87.
