Donald Robert Paul Roche (1916-2007) was a British poet, novelist, and English professor known for his translations of ancient Greek and Latin classics. A member of the Bloomsbury group, he had a close association with Duncan Grant. Roche adapted Sophocles' Oedipus Rex into a screenplay for a 1967 film, in which he also appeared as a member of the Greek chorus. His distinguished career included critical acclaim for his literary contributions and translations.
