Paul Varley was an English musician, born in Preston on 24 May 1949. He gained prominence as the drummer for the band Arrows, noted for hits like 'Touch Too Much' and 'I Love Rock 'N' Roll'. The band had their own TV series from 1976 to 1977. Varley also collaborated with various bands including Little Free Rock and Ginger Johnson's African Drums. He had one daughter, Ilona, and lived in both Los Angeles and London. Varley passed away on 2 July 2008 at the age of 59.
