Pedro Avilés Pérez, known as 'The Mountain Lion', was a Mexican drug baron from Sinaloa who began his drug trade in the late 1960s. He is considered one of the first major Mexican marijuana traffickers and was notable for being the first drug trafficker known to use an aircraft to smuggle drugs into the United States.
