Pedro Prudencio Miranda is an Argentine military officer born on April 26, 1952, in Villa Mercedes, San Luis, Argentina. He served in the Argentine Air Force, achieving the rank of sergeant major. During the Falklands War, he volunteered as an explosive ordnance disposal expert, successfully defusing an activated bomb on the Argentine ship ELMA Formosa and defusing four Mark 82 bombs from a downed McDonnell Douglas A-4Q Skyhawk, which enabled landing for IAI Dagger aircraft. His bravery earned him Argentina's highest military decoration.
