Pedro Rivas Cuéllar was a notable Mexican politician and pioneer in radio broadcasting, affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party. He served as the Municipal President of Aguascalientes from 1981 to 1983. Cuéllar made a significant contribution to media by founding XEBI-AM in 1936, which became the first radio station in central Mexico and later expanded into a multi-station broadcaster known as Radiogrupo. His work laid the groundwork for the development of radio in the region.
