Pegot Waring was an American sculptor born on April 5, 1909, in Dallas, known for her figurative sculptures and often animal representations. She was briefly married in the late 1920s but adopted Waring as her artistic name. Waring studied at Washington University before relocating to Los Angeles in 1938, where she taught at several institutions including Otis Art Institute and Pomona College. Aside from a brief stay in New York City in 1948, she lived in Los Angeles until her death on February 1, 1983.
