Peitsa Untama Mikola (1915–2017) was a Finnish forest scientist known for his work in forestry, mycology, and conservation. He served as the forest manager at the University of Helsinki from 1953 to 1957 and was a professor of forest biology between 1957 and 1978. Mikola published numerous articles and books on forestry and contributed significantly to forest science, leading to the naming of a mycorrhizal fungus after him. He was a veteran of three wars and received accolades for his contributions to forest biology and management.
