Pekka Juha Häyry (December 13, 1939 – April 29, 2020) was a Finnish physician and professor of transplant surgery and immunology at the University of Helsinki. His research focused on experimental pathology and transplantation. He received notable awards, including the Matti Äyräpään prize in 1988 and the Sir Peter Medawar prize in 2006. Häyry led the transplantation laboratory at the university and was elected a member of the Finnish Academy of Sciences in 1989. Additionally, he served as president of The Transplantation Society from 1996 to 1998 and was a professor at the University of Calgary from 2002 until his retirement in 2008.
