Pekka Somer (1907-1994) was a Finnish physician who served as the Chief Medical Officer of the Finnish Defence Forces. He graduated as a medical licentiate in 1935 and specialized in internal medicine in 1945. Somer worked in various hospitals post-graduation and held several high-ranking positions within the military, including Medical Major General from 1953 and Medical Lieutenant General from 1967. After retiring from the Defence Forces in 1967, he served as the managing director of Pohja-Yhtymä until 1972.
