Martti Pekka Tuunanen is a retired Finnish Brigadier General born on January 31, 1951, in Punkaharju. He began his military career as a pilot with the Karelian Air Command in 1976. Over the years, he held various positions including a test pilot and office chief at the Air Force Headquarters. He served as the commander of the Satakunta Air Command and led the Air Force Headquarters. After retiring in 2006, he took on the role of executive director of the National Defence Training Association until 2015.
