Pelle Jarmer was a Danish social democratic politician born on March 28, 1936, in Copenhagen. He served as a member of the Copenhagen City Council from 1962 to 1989. Jarmer held the position of mayor of the Copenhagen Magistrate's 3rd department (Social Mayor) from 1976 until 1989. During his tenure, he was notably responsible for the closure of the construction playground Byggeren. He passed away on January 18, 2018, in Copenhagen.
