Pep Gimeno 'Botifarra', born on March 19, 1960, in Xàtiva, is a traditional Valencian singer known for his long-standing career in festive music. He gained acclaim with his debut solo album 'Si em pose a cantar cançons' in 2006, which won the 2007 Ovidi Award for the best folk and new music album. Since then, he has released eight albums and is recognized for his efforts in collecting and preserving Valencian musical culture, adapting songs from the oral tradition since 1976.
