William Pepper Constable Jr. (1914–1986) was an American football back who played for Princeton University, leading his team to two national championships and serving as class president in 1935. Despite being selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 1936 NFL draft, he chose a medical career, earning a Doctor of Medicine from Harvard. Constable served in World War II as a lieutenant commander and later became chief of medicine at Princeton University. He died in 1986 after drowning in Nantucket, Massachusetts.
