Per Herman Bjørge (August 23, 1935 – May 29, 2007) was a Norwegian computer scientist recognized for his pioneering projects and regarded as one of the leading machine developers of his time. Educated at the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1960, he worked at the Defence Research Establishment and was instrumental in developing SAM 2. He co-founded Norsk Data and led the development of the Nord-1 and Nord-5 machines. Later, he established several other companies focused on software development, including Sim-X and Flexi-Map. Bjørge passed away from cancer.
