Per Møystad Backe (1914-1991) was a notable Norwegian jurist and industrial leader born in Hammerfest. He played a pivotal role in the establishment of Scandinavian Airlines beginning in 1946. His managerial career included overseeing Dalen Portland Cementfabrik from 1959 to 1968 and chairing the boards of Norcem and Viking–Askim during the 1970s and early 1980s. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the prestigious Knight, First Class of the Order of St. Olav in 1971.
