Per Meidell Riste was a Norwegian journalist and broadcasting employee who worked for NRK from 1948. After a brief stint as a press officer at the Norwegian delegation to the UN in New York, he became NRK's first correspondent in New York in 1965. He served as foreign editor and head of the foreign department at NRK until his retirement in 1987.
