Per Thornberg is a Swedish tenor saxophonist, jazz musician, and music teacher born on February 19, 1962. He graduated in 1983 from the improvisational pedagogy program at the Malmö Academy of Music. He freelances as a musician and teaches part-time at Sturegymnasiet in Halmstad. Thornberg received the 2014 Årets jazzpedagog award and holds a Master's degree in art history. He collaborates with artists on cross-disciplinary projects and runs his own music production company, TMP, established in 1994.
