Per Jørgen Wiggen Vaglum is a Norwegian psychiatrist and emeritus professor at the University of Oslo, born on March 2, 1938. He graduated with a medical degree in 1962 and became a specialist in psychiatry and psychoanalyst. Vaglum was a professor at Ullevål Hospital and then in medical behavioral sciences at the University of Oslo until his retirement in 2008. He served as dean at the medical faculty and was awarded the Medical Faculty's Medal in 1996. He has authored textbooks and held significant roles in various health programs and organizations.
