Perch Hakobyan was an Armenian agronomist born on February 15, 1905, in Evjilar, Surmalu district, Yerevan Province, Russian Empire. He became a prominent figure in agricultural science, earning his doctorate in biological sciences in 1966 and later becoming a professor in 1967. His contributions to science were recognized when he was named an Honored Scientist of the Armenian SSR in 1974. Hakobyan passed away on October 27, 1977, in Yerevan, Armenian SSR, USSR.
