Peres Jepchirchir is a Kenyan long-distance runner born on September 27, 1993, in Turbo, Kenya. She became the Olympic champion at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. In addition to her Olympic victory, Jepchirchir has won four medals at the World Half Marathon Championships and secured a gold medal in the same event at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Road. Her notable marathon victories include winning the New York City Marathon in 2021 and the Boston Marathon in 2022, as well as two wins at the Valencia Marathon in 2016 and 2020.
