Perpétue Nshimirimana, born in February 1961, is a prominent Burundian diplomat and writer. She was educated in journalism in Algeria and worked at the Radio Télévision Nationale du Burundi after returning home. Nshimirimana held significant positions including on the national communication council and the constitutional commission. After the election of President Melchior Ndadaye, she became the Permanent Representative of Burundi to the UN in Geneva. She authored 'Lettre à Isidore,' published in 2004, and received the 'Femme exilée, Femme engages' award in 2005 for her contributions to Burundian orphans.
