Perry Lawrence Johnson, born on January 23, 1948, is an American businessman, author, and political candidate from Michigan. He has written numerous books on international quality control standards and certification. Johnson was a Republican candidate for Governor of Michigan in 2022 but was disqualified due to insufficient valid signatures on his ballot petition, as over 9,000 signatures were collected improperly. He also sought the Republican nomination for President of the United States in 2024 but withdrew from the race on October 20, 2023, prior to the primaries.
