Pers Erik Olsson (1912-1983) was a Swedish violinist and folk musician born in Rättvik, Dalarna. Son of musician Pers Olof Andersson, he learned to play violin from his father and was influenced by other musicians. Known for his powerful yet beautiful playing style, he composed notable works, including 'Låt till far' in 1965. Olsson became a riksspelman in 1965 and was awarded the Zornmärket in gold in 1976. His contributions to traditional music remain celebrated.
