Active since the mid-1920s, he collaborated with various studio bands including the California Ramblers and the Raymond Scott Quintette. Pumiglio was involved in 218 recording sessions between 1926 and 1962, working with notable artists such as Benny Goodman and Joe Venuti, contributing significantly to the early jazz scene.
