Peter Cárdenas Schulte, also known as Alejandro, was a leader of the Peruvian revolutionary organization Movement Revolutionary Túpac Amaru (MRTA). He was considered one of the most wanted terrorists in Latin America until his arrest, during which he served time in a Peruvian high-security prison from 1992 to 2015. His liberation became a key demand during the MRTA's 1996 takeover of the Japanese embassy, highlighting his significance within the organization.
