He began his journey in meteorology in 1962 and achieved remarkable recognition in 2013 when he was certified by Guinness World Records for having the longest career of any weather broadcaster at 50 years, 8 months, and 21 days. His record was surpassed in 2016 by American meteorologist Dick Goddard.
