Peter Coreth is an Austrian journalist, writer, translator, art collector, and museum founder born on May 9, 1948, in Linz. He studied political science in Salzburg and Nairobi. From 1971 to 1975, he was an editor for Salzburger Nachrichten, during which he published his novel Arbeitshaft and received the Georg-Trakl promotion award for poetry in 1972. Coreth later collected art from various cultures and founded the Kulturbrücke Fratres in 1995 to promote Austrian-Czech relations, where he also established the Museum Humanum showcasing his art collection.
