Pieter Jan Willem (Peter) de Kleer was a Dutch pianist born in Amsterdam on December 15, 1910. He received his training at the Muziekschool Haarlem under Piet Vincent and began performing as a pianist in the 1930s. He earned his professional diploma in 1933 and participated in significant concerts, including a 1937 performance of Händel's Judas Makkabäus. He composed works for piano and also wrote music articles. De Kleer taught piano lessons in Haarlem and was last noted in 1972, though there are no records of him after 1967.
