Peter Donev was a Bulgarian screenwriter and director, born on July 11, 1926, in Brenitsa, Bulgaria. He graduated from the State Higher School for Cinematography and Phototechnics in Sofia in 1952. Donev worked in studios producing scientific and popular films and later in script management. He is known for his script for the film 'Poor Street' (1960) and directed several films, most notably the crime comedy 'Bon Chance, Inspector!' (1983). He concluded his career with the film 'Megi' (1989) and passed away on November 15, 2015.
