He sits in the municipal council of Rana and serves as a political advisor to the deputy leader of the Labour Party, Bjørnar Skjæran. From 2015 to 2019, he was the marketing manager at Nordland Teater. Previously, he was the Vice Mayor of Nordland and leader of the KrF county group from 2011 to 2015. In 2016, he left KrF and joined the Labour Party, where he is currently the deputy leader of Rana Labour Party.
