Peter Farquhar was a British English teacher born on January 3, 1946. He taught at prestigious schools including Manchester Grammar School and Stowe School, and later lectured at Buckingham University. In addition to his teaching career, he authored three novels. Tragically, Farquhar was murdered on October 26, 2015, by his former student and lodger Ben Field, with whom he shared a close friendship.
