Peter Gajdoš is a Slovak politician and career soldier born on April 9, 1959, in Nitra, Czechoslovakia. He is a member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak National Party (SNS). From March 23, 2016, he served as the Minister of Defense in the third cabinet of the social-democratic Prime Minister Robert Fico. He continued in the same role in the government of Peter Pellegrini until he was replaced by Jaroslav Naď on March 21, 2020.
