Peter Haarhaus, born on April 29, 1936, in Brandenburg an der Havel, is a retired Lieutenant General of the German Air Force. He joined the Luftwaffe in 1956, initially training as a fighter-bomber pilot. Over his career, he held various leadership positions including squadron leader and chief of staff roles within NATO. He was promoted through the ranks, culminating in his appointment as Chief of the Air Force Office in Cologne-Wahn, where he became a Generalleutnant. Haarhaus retired in 1994 after a distinguished military career.
