Peter Macduff Christian Hare was an English cricketer and educator, born on March 12, 1920, in Wokingham. He attended Canford School and Worcester College, Oxford, and played minor counties cricket for Dorset in 1939. His cricket and studies were interrupted by World War II, where he served in the Royal Artillery. Post-war, he played a single first-class match for Oxford University in 1947. He dedicated thirty years to teaching at Rugby School, finishing his career at Hanford School. He passed away on June 14, 2001, in Shaftesbury.
