Peter Iwei is a Papua New Guinea politician born on November 26, 1965. He served as a member of the National Parliament from 2007 to 2012, representing the Telefomin Open electorate. Iwei first tried for the Telefomin seat in the 2002 elections but was defeated. He successfully contested the seat in the 2007 elections as a member of the People's Democratic Movement. He narrowly won against the Papua New Guinea Party candidate but lost his seat in the 2012 elections to Solan Mirisim.
